A competition to celebrate two special birthdays

Hi everyone

Has been a little while since I ran a competition and what better reason that a couple of special birthdays.

The first was our very own tabby cat, Tabitha. She turned two at the start of the week. She may well be two but in her head she is still a tiny kitten who gets up to all sorts of mischief.

The second is Tabby Cat Collars itself. We have been up and running for a a year now! Wow - the time has gone so quickly.

So to celebrate both these important markers, we are giving away not one but two collars!

They are two of our latest designs - sugar pink hearts and navy and white stars. The selected winner will receive both collars.

To be in with a chance of winning both of these collars, all you need to do is leave a comment on either our blog, Facebook or Twitter pages (making sure you follow or like at the same time please). The winner will be selected at random. Competition closes at 12.00pm (midday) on Sunday 4th March and the winner will be announced shortly after. UK entries only please.

Good luck!

A tasty prize from Petz Kitchen

Hi everyone

I have been meaning to post this for some time! A couple of weeks ago Tabitha won a prize courtesy of the lovely Rachel & Sarah of Petz Kitchen.

They bake lovely biscuits for both cats and dogs and are based in Kent (which is also where I live).

I first heard about them when I had a stall at Christmas Fair at school nearby. They had a stall there too and although I didn't get a chance to speak to them, I remembered their business name and looked them up when I got home.

They run a competition every week for the chance to win a pack of their pet biscuits. All you have to do is send them an email with a photo of your cat (or dog) and they enter it into the draw. Tabitha was lucky enough to win with this photo.

When the biscuits arrived they were packaged really well in a strong cardboard box so there was no chance of them getting crushed.

The cat biscuits come in 4 flavours - chicken, salmon, sardine and tuna at a price of £2.95 for 175g (plus P&P).

Tabitha got to try out the salmon flavour which she enjoyed. The biscuits are much larger than the Science Plan ones she is used to so they took her a few attempts to work out how to eat them. She soon go the hang of it though and happily munched away. Just to confirm - the biscuits are designed to be treats and not replace your cat's normal diet!

I had read on the website that human grade ingridents are used so yep, you can guess what's coming next, I thought I would have a little taste as well! No photos of me trying them out i'm afraid but I have to say they were actually quite nice! Not that I will make a habit of eating them you understand.

Why not pop over to their website to take a look? The biscuit and competition details can be found on there. They are also in Twitter @petzkitchen Always nice to support a local business who make handmade items (much like myself!)

Take care
